The Divyanathans and Choongs II

Here's another one, where all are looking at generally the right direction except for Joey

See - Ethan looks so jovial and effervescent ... Joey seems to be more introspective, thinking of something ...

Great picture taken at the Divyanathan's place - we visited them in their Sydney home. Although I have to say, all the adults except for me were looking at Denesh's camera! The boys, oh well, not sure what they were looking at ... there was not food visible in the vicinity...

Denesh and I were partners-in-crime at The Straits Times Money Desk some time ago. I'm thankful to God for having kept us in touch, and perhaps by an interesting coincidence, we both share an amazing array of similarities: (1) both worked for ST; (2) both took their families to Oz for further studies (3) both have young boys which are bundles of joy (4) both share the joys and pains of extricating our young families from Singapore to Oz, etc...

Have to say Ethan (Denesh's son) and Joey got along quite well together ... though if look at the following picture, they seem to have quite different personalities :)

Tigger and Joey

Tigger and Joey, originally uploaded by ZeeRedBaron.

Joey in his Bruce Lee suit and Tigger.

He's been getting quite mischevious - trying to copy the way we speak. Take this afternoon I was flipping an alphabet book with him and I heard him say "What's Zis?". He liked the phrase so much he decided to ask me MANY "What's Zises!"

Canberra's been like raining in the past few days - sign that spring is finally here! Thank God! Canberra winter is way too cold for us.

Went for an all-night prayer meeting in church Friday. Didn't know I could enjoy a prayer meeting so much (given that prayer for me seems to be a good way of getting to sleep - oops). One of the people in church was quite creative. For a segment on praying for missions, he had a 'gang of gangsters' run into the church with toy pistols, hauling each and every one of those praying out and telling them to 'stop praying'.

A good lesson in how other countries don't have the same level of religious freedom we have...
